The 2019 Saipan Baseball League will open this Saturday at the Francisco \u201cTan Ko\u201d Palacios Balllfield.<\/p>\n
Six teams, led by defending champions Chalan Kanoa Bears, will be vying for the championship. Out to challenge the Bears are Go See Mark, Aces, Team Rockies, Blue Jays, and Mariners.<\/p>\n
League matches will be played only on Saturdays and there will be three games per weekend.<\/p>\n
Last year\u2019s finalists, the Bears and GSM, will kick off the action this Saturday as they collide in the 9am match. Then in the second game at 1pm, it will be Team Rockies versus Aces. For the last match in the triple-header at 4pm, the Blue Jays will take on the Mariners.<\/p>\n
Participating teams are requested to turn in the league requirements, including copy of the roster and entrances fees, before the Saturday matches.<\/p>\n
This season\u2019s competition will be used by SBL to select the players that will represent the CNMI in the 2019 Micronesian Baseball Classic ,which will be held in Guam later this year.
