VENUS)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Northern Mariana Islands Girl Scouts welcomes the presence of Victoria Adams, the Japan Office of the USA Girl Scouts Overseas Member development manager, who is on island to help conduct trainings for the local Girl Scout group.<\/p>\n<p>Adams also met with 2019 Miss Marianas Shanon Sasamoto and 2018 Miss Marianas Celine Cabrera, who are both troop leaders, during a press briefing yesterday at Cha Bistro.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to working with the NMI Girl Scouts as a troop leader,\u201d Sasamoto said.<\/p>\n<p>Adams joined the USA Girl Scouts in fourth grade and she has been involved with the girl scouts for most of her life. She has been awarded the Gold Award Girl Scout, which is of the highest award in girl scouting. She became the member development manager last April 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The NMI Girl Scouts, in partnership with Adams, will be conducting numerous Overseas Committee Management Team or OCMT training sessions throughout this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe girls will provide the programming that they want. We\u2019re very much about girl-led programming,\u201d Adams added.<\/p>\n<p>She believes that the CNMI has great opportunities to do Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics-related programs.<\/p>\n<p>According to NMI Girl Scouts vice president Laila Boyer Girl Scouting has really focused on STEM in the last few years.
