Imperial Pacific International\u2019s audited financial statements have already been leaked in various social media platforms but IPI is still adamant about asking the court to declare the leaked information confidential. <\/p>\n
During the hearing last Monday, Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo said that IPI and the Commonwealth Casino Commission will return to court and argue their position on the confidentiality of the report\u2014an Ernst and Young audited financial statement\u2014as well as the confidentiality of IPI\u2019s financial information as requested through an Open Government Act.<\/p>\n
The next hearing is scheduled for July 9. <\/p>\n
Although the documents have already been leaked in multiple social media platforms, IPI said during the hearing Monday that they still want to argue their position on the confidentiality of the information that those documents. <\/p>\n
CCC, however, believes that audited reports are public information and, since it is already out there through social media, a court ruling would not require members of the community to take their posts down. <\/p>\n
In an interview with Rep. Edwin Propst, who also made information from the documents public during a session, said that he received the Ernst and Young report from House Gaming Committee chair Rep. Ralph Yumul. <\/p>\n
\u201cI would be happy to disclose the information because I don\u2019t believe that it should be a secret. I am a Gaming Committee member. I sent in an OGA request that I showed to Gaming Committee chair [Rep.] Ralph Yumul and I said \u2018Do you have any of this information?\u2019 and\u2026he looked at this information and he handed me what I was looking for\u2014that particular document. So I got that information from the Gaming Committee chairman. As to where he got it, I don\u2019t know where he got it,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
The IPI audited financial statements that were leaked was presented by the Commonwealth Casino Commission during a hearing last Friday but was not entered into evidence by the Superior Court. <\/p>\n
IPI objected to the release of the information after CCC moved to enter it as an exhibit in the hearing last Friday. <\/p>\n
