CPA contested the charges, stating the charges were based on incorrect and erroneous estimated daily averages for use and consumption. <\/p>\n<p> \u201cIn anticipation of executing an agreement with CUC that will resolve other CPA and CUC disputes, such as CUC\u2019s use of CPA\u2019s property, the construction of the sewer line from [Francisco C. Ada\/]Saipan International Airport to the Agingan Wastewater Treatment Plant, assessed wharfage fees at the Port of Saipan, and $7.2 million in \u2018back billed\u2019 water charges and penalties, CPA has transmitted $6.6 million for the arrears of water and sewer charges on CPA\u2019s main water pump tank account,\u201d said CPA executive director Chris Tenorio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter payment and execution of the agreement between CPA and CUC, CPA will be current with its billings charged by CUC,\u201d added Tenorio. <\/p>\n<p>The amount was sent to CUC last June 20, 2019.
