The program\u2019s theme is \u201cA Universe of Stories!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Participants were introduced to space-related activities, programs, and reading challenges. Other activities included are the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)-related activities, exploratory space programs, arts &amp; crafts, music, dance, story exploring activities, and many more.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will also be going to several field trips throughout the island, as they will be visiting the Guma Sakman today and the NMI Museum on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Free lunch and breakfast are provided to all registered participants, courtesy of the Public School System.<\/p>\n<p>The program will be held until July 19 and there are two ongoing sessions. Session A: ages 6-8, will be from 8:30am to 11:30am. Session B: ages 9 to 12, will be from 12:30pm to 3pm.<\/p>\n<p>According to JKPL technical services librarian Beth Demapan, both sessions are full and each session holds 60 participants with a total of 120 participants. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a waiting list and if there are participants that want to back out, we will add them into the program,\u201d Demapan added.<\/p>\n<p>For those who were unable to join the event, JKPL will also be initiating its annual Bookmobile Summer Library Program.
