The Society for Human Resource Management CNMI Chapter will be hosting an all-day conference on Aug. 14 at\u00a0Hyatt Regency Saipan\u2019s ballroom to discuss key issues impacting the workplace today.<\/p>\n
Labor Secretary Vicky Benavente will present on ongoing discussions the CNMI Department of Labor has with U.S. Department of Labor regarding the Interim Final Rules, including job vacancy announcements and recruitment requirements and postings.<\/p>\n
Glory Gervacio Saure, director of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Honolulu office, will present on the \u201cState of the EEOC,\u201d including recent trends, agency updates and strategic priorities. Gervacio Saure will also present on the \u201cRespectful Workplace\u201d initiative and the agency\u2019s perspectives on sexual harassment, #metoo, and workplace culture.<\/p>\n
Dr. Milton J. Perkins, Ph.D., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CPC, vice president of ActOne Government Solutions, will discuss employee engagement, managing HR risks, and responding to employee complaints.<\/p>\n
