{"id":305058,"date":"2019-07-31T09:22:50","date_gmt":"2019-07-30T23:22:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=305058"},"modified":"2019-07-31T09:22:50","modified_gmt":"2019-07-30T23:22:50","slug":"breaking-news-no-immediate-threat-from-reported-north-korea-missile-tests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/breaking-news-no-immediate-threat-from-reported-north-korea-missile-tests\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING NEWS: No immediate threat from reported North Korea missile tests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense, in conjunction with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center, federal and military partners, continue to monitor events surrounding the region, including reports of projectiles launched out of the Democratic People\u2019s Republic of Korea today.<\/p>\n<p>The reported projectiles were launched from North Korea\u2019s east coast from the Hodo Peninsula and traveled about 428 miles over the sea. There was no indication the reported tests posed an immediate threat to Guam or the Marianas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe tests come less than a week after similar reported tests out of North Korea.
