{"id":305485,"date":"2019-08-07T06:06:01","date_gmt":"2019-08-06T20:06:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=305485"},"modified":"2019-08-07T06:06:01","modified_gmt":"2019-08-06T20:06:01","slug":"scc-meeting-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/scc-meeting-today\/","title":{"rendered":"SCC meeting today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Saipan Chamber of Commerce\u2019s general membership meeting will be held today, Aug. 7, at the Seaside Hall of Kanoa Resort, featuring Kodep Ogumoro-Uludong, director of the Office of Planning &amp; Development.<\/p>\n<p>Uludong will be speaking about his office\u2019s efforts for the community\u2019s long-term\u00a0Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, his continuing work with the\u00a0International Economic Development Council in the business community\u2019s recovery from Super Typhoon Yutu, and his office\u2019s\u00a0Garapan Revitalization\u00a0initiative.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Chamber will also provide updates on recent conversations with Delegate Gregorio C. Sablan\u2019s office on businesses\u2019 concerns with the U.S. Department of Labor\/U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services\u2019 CW renewal timelines. There will be consent case management forms where businesses can use Sablan\u2019s office to advocate on behalf of their CW application process. The Chamber is also gathering questions to send to USDOL\/USCIS for clarification on the renewal process. <\/p>\n<p>Lunch will be served at 11:30am and the meeting will begin promptly at noon. The fee is $25 for Chamber members and $35 for non-members. The Chamber is accepting reservations of six or more.
