The Rotary Club of Saipan inducted two new members into its ranks last Tuesday during the club\u2019s regular Tuesday meeting at the Hyatt Regency Saipan\u2019s Giovanni\u2019s restaurant. The new members are Docomo Pacific\u2019s general manager Pauline Johnson and enterprise manager Joe Torres. <\/p>\n
Johnson and Torres were sponsored by Rotary Club president Marcia Ayuyu.<\/p>\n
In his speech at the ceremony, Rotary Club of Saipan director of International Service Greg Borja said, \u201cYou have been invited to the membership and the Rotary Club of Saipan has accepted you as a person of good character and ethical standards.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe welcome your strong hearts and service,\u201d Borja added. <\/p>\n
He challenged the two to invite another person to join the Rotary Club of Saipan within the next three months. \u201cBecoming a new Rotarian is only surpassed by sponsoring a new member,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
Ayuyu told the new members: \u201cWhen you shake the hand of one Rotarian, you are in touch with 1.2 million more. Together, we are working to enrich you and serve to help develop communities and promote peace.\u201d <\/p>\n
Johnson and Torres promised to do their best for the club and the CNMI community. \u201cWe can extend a hand if the Rotary Club or the community is in need of a helping hand,\u201d Torres said. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
