{"id":305948,"date":"2019-08-14T06:00:04","date_gmt":"2019-08-13T20:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=305948"},"modified":"2019-08-14T06:00:04","modified_gmt":"2019-08-13T20:00:04","slug":"nmc-urges-more-local-businesses-to-support-colleges-perks-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/nmc-urges-more-local-businesses-to-support-colleges-perks-program\/","title":{"rendered":"NMC urges more local businesses  to support college\u2019s perks program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Acting Northern Marianas College president Frankie Elliptico is urging CNMI businesses to support the college\u2019s perks program, which seeks to give discounts and other perks to NMC students.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the Rotary Club of Saipan during their regular Tuesday meeting at the Hyatt Regency Saipan\u2019s Giovanni\u2019s restaurant last week, Eliptico said that supporting NMC\u2019s ProaPerks will benefit the college, since NMC will see active participation within its student population in supporting businesses, while also benefitting businesses, which will see an increased number of consumers.<\/p>\n<p>Eliptico said that they have already collaborated with more than 20 local businesses. Some of those businesses are Docomo Pacific, The Shack, Latte Built Gym, and many more. As of Aug. 6, the list of affiliated businesses under the NMC\u2019s perks program has reached 32.<\/p>\n<p>According to the NMC website, NMC\u2019s ProaPerks program is for graduates, students, employees, and partners.
