The woman who was arrested for beating and biting a 3-year-old girl last year was sentenced to five years imprisonment after pleading guilty to child abuse. <\/p>\n
Vicenta Veronica Igisomar, 45, pleaded guilty to one count of child abuse or neglect and was sentenced to five years in prison\u2014all suspended. She was given credit for 26 days.<\/p>\n
Her full sentence will be imposed if any laws or probation rules are violated. <\/p>\n
Igisomar was sentenced to five years\u2019 probation and was ordered to pay all court fees, probation fees, and restitution of over $2,200 to the victim. <\/p>\n
Igisomar is also prohibited from living with a child below 18 for the duration of her probation, having unsupervised contact with children younger than 10 during her probation, and must comply with any recommended treatment by the Community Guidance Center. <\/p>\n
According to Saipan Tribune archives, Igisomar was the legal guardian of the 3-year-old girl that she bit and hit with a wooden backscratcher and glass cup back in 2018. <\/p>\n
A physician at the Commonwealth Health Center reported that the right side of the girl\u2019s head had a puncture wound and that she had red and bruising underneath all her fingernails, and redness and bruising on both large toes.<\/p>\n
The girl\u2019s mother was the one who called police on Igisomar after hearing a girl\u2019s scream and cry from Igisomar\u2019s home. <\/p>\n
