Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center for this Saturday\u2019s first Opportunity Expo are ongoing and on track. The event is hosted by Precinct 2 Reps. Christina Sablan (Ind-Saipan) and John Paul Sablan (R-Saipan).<\/p>\n<p>Tina Sablan said that there are 32 organizations from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors that are confirmed as of yesterday. \u201cWe expect the number [of participating organizations] to go up between now and Friday,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The participating organizations are currently hiring, as well as public and private institutions offering education and training, assistance for small businesses and entrepreneurs, resources for people with disabilities, and programs for health, wellness, and addiction recovery. <\/p>\n<p>The goal is to connect the organizations with the residents who are looking for opportunities to better themselves, improve their lives and the lives of their families. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful to all the participating businesses, educational institutions, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations that have signed up to showcase the wide array of opportunities they have to offer,\u201d Tina Sablan said. <\/p>\n<p>That includes the Saipan Chamber of Commerce, the Hotel Association of the NMI, the Society for Human Resource Management, the CNMI Small Business Development Center, Department of Labor, Department of Commerce, and the Office of Personnel Management. <\/p>\n<p>Jobseekers are encouraged to bring copies of their r\u00e9sum\u00e9s, as employers will be accepting applications and conducting on-site interviews. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Preparations at the Pedro P.
