Kennedy granted last week the U.S. Probation Office\u2019s petition to summon Vicente Matagolai Aldan to show cause why his supervised release should not be revoked.<\/p>\n<p>Aldan\u2019s initial appearance hearing is set for Aug. 29 at 2pm.<\/p>\n<p>According to the U.S. Probation Office, Aldan failed to abide by the condition of his supervision when he admitted to the use of methamphetamine or \u201cice\u201d on July 27, 2019. <\/p>\n<p>Probation officer Gregory F. Arriola reported that Aldan tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine during a random drug test at the U.S. Probation Office. <\/p>\n<p>The report also states that Aldan was reminded to refrain from further drug use, to which he agreed. <\/p>\n<p>In August 1999, Aldan was sentenced to 21 years imprisonment for three offenses\u2014hostage taking, felon in possession of a firearm, and transfer of a firearm\u2014knowing it will be used to commit a crime of violence, followed by a five-year term of supervised release.
