(Saipan Tribune)

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Cuki Alvarez has announced that Trench Tech is planning to hold BJJ classes for children in the 5-8 age group.

The program may start once Trench Tech has at least 10 enrollees.

“We are excited about this and want to start a ‘kids only’ BJJ program. However, currently we are only accepting kids age 8 and up because that’s been our rule and younger children tend to have a very short attention span and always end up wanting just to play or lose interest because they are simply overwhelmed by the ‘big people’ surrounding them. This disrupts the class,” Alvarez said.

“So with that in mind, please help us spread the word and let’s start recruiting more and more kids ages 5 to 8 years old old and we will be happy to accommodate them separately,” the Trench Tech founder added.

Once 10 children avail of the program, Alvarez and his team will start holding regular Gi classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 5pm to 6pm. Prior BJJ experience is not required and parents are also welcome to watch their children during the classes.

Alvarez encouraged parents to enroll their children in the program, as BJJ has a lot ofbenefits to the child’s wellbeing, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

“They will develop discipline, respect, honor, leadership and self-confidence, and more! Your child will learn the most effective single martial art in the world. They’ll develop strength, physical fitness and mental fortitude. Your child will develop social skills and make quality friends,” Alvarez said.

The Trench Tech head assured that only experienced BJJ practitioners will conduct the classes to ensure the safety of the children.

“They will learn from experienced trainers. We keep it very safe and teach technique over power. There is no striking in BJJ, but your child will learn to tumble and break fall appropriately,” Alvarez said.

For more information, call Trench Tech at 670-783-4662. (Saipan Tribune)

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Cuki Alvarez has announced that Trench Tech is planning to hold…

[5
7023,163,595
post-306341","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sports","tag-bjj","tag-kids","tag-trench-tech
["GET
