(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>More than 70 joined the IT&amp;E Duathlon and Trail Run with 57 competing in individual races and 11 participating in the team competition of last Saturday\u2019s event.<\/p>\n<p>In the 6-kilometer trail run, perennial middle distance race winner Kosuke Sato led more than 10 finishers to earn first place honors in the men\u2019s division. Saipan International School teacher Whit Altize came in at second place, while Agape Christian School student Tony Zheng finished third. The trail run had its start and finish lines at the Last Command Post in Marpi with runners passing through Unai Laggua Drive, Banzai Trail, and Banzai Cliff.<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s trail, Roxanne Soriano led the podium finishers and was joined in the Top 3 by Lydia Cai and Kathleen Tolentino.<\/p>\n<p>For the duathlon event, which featured a 20K bike course and 2.5K run, Charlie Sendin was the first one to complete the race that also started at ended at the Last Command Post. Dennis Bautista and Joshua Manglona were the second and third finishers, respectively, in the men\u2019s division.<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s division, Kimiko McKagan was the first finishers, followed by Ayano Braxton and Elim Huang. The bike portion of the duathlon event had riders navigating through FEBC, Ayuyu and Binadu drive, Million Gallon Tank, As Matuis (no Radar Station), Kalabera Road, Bird Island (no Auto Bahn), Santa Clause Trail, Banzail Trail, and Banzai Cliff before finishing at Last Command Post. For the 2.5K run, participants headed to as far as the \u201chair pin\u201d and back to the Last Command Post.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, C and R Team and H &amp; Y Team topped the men\u2019s and mixed relay races, respectively.
