To facilitate language learning among the youth, the Indigenous Affairs Office has loaned laptops to the Youth Affairs Office that will be placed in youth centers for the implementation of the Ketungu\u2019 Chamorro Project, an online Chamorro learning resource available at www.mycnmi.com that is co-produced by the IAO.<\/p>\n
Five episodes of the Ketungu\u2019 Chamorro Project are already available online. It is IAO\u2019s goal to bring the project closer to children. <\/p>\n
\u201cExtending the program to the youth centers is one of our goals, and this partnership would increase participation among our youth,\u201d IAO resident executive Roman M. Tudela Jr. said.<\/p>\n
Part of the agreement for the project is for the centers to have children view the episodes twice a week, or eight times a month.<\/p>\n
Lessons include alphabets, vocabulary word comprehension, numbers from 1-100, everyday greetings, and sentence structure. <\/p>\n
Instructors are from Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School in San Rogue, Garapan Elementary School in Garapan, and William S. Reyes Elementary School in Chalan Kanoa.<\/p>\n
