United Airlines has committed as an emerald sponsor for the 2019 Green Gala by donating this year\u2019s grand raffle prize of one roundtrip economy class ticket from Saipan via Guam\/Honolulu to one of the many United destinations worldwide. <\/p>\n
The prize ticket will be raffled at the event on Sept. 13, 2019, at the Hibiscus Hall of the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan.<\/p>\n
Paula Monk, United Airlines senior sales manager for Guam and Micronesia, said, \u201cUnited Airlines is proud to support the Micronesia Islands Nature Alliance\u00a0in its vital work to conserve our region\u2019s natural resources and\u00a0minimize impact on the environment. MINA\u2019s work to create a sustainable future aligns with United\u2019s commitment to environmental stewardship and our mission to be the most environmentally sustainable airline in the world. We thank MINA for their work in helping\u00a0to keep\u00a0our islands beautiful for generations ahead.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe CNMI community and our islands\u2019 environment continue to benefit through the generous support of United Airlines,\u201d said Fran Castro, chairperson of MINA\u2019s board of directors. \u201cEach year, United Airlines provides a roundtrip ticket from Saipan via Guam\/Honolulu to any of United\u2019s worldwide destinations. MINA is very appreciative of their continued support of MINA\u2019s mission, and their contribution will bring much excitement to MINA\u2019s signature event.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Green Gala pulls the community together to celebrate the successes of conservation efforts in the CNMI, as well as raises critical operational funds that enable MINA to continue its mission. The theme for this year is Bring Back Our Trees, a program that focuses on replanting on coastline restoration from the after-effects of typhoons Soudelor and Yutu.<\/p>\n
As of yesterday, tickets to the event are all sold out, and MINA is extremely grateful for the outpouring of support for this event.
