(Bea Cabrera)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mobil unveiled yesterday the new look of its 11 gas stations on Saipan to coincide with the launch of their improved fuel formulations. The launch was held at the Mobil gas station on Middle Road.<\/p>\n<p>Mobil Oil Mariana Islands Inc. president Jimmy Hau said the improved gasoline formulas are called Synergy Extra and Synergy Supreme Plus. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur scientists have developed this improved formulation featuring the latest in global fuel technology,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Hau assured that the Mobil\u2019s Synergy range of gasoline is backed by extensive technology and designed \u201cto ensure that customers get the best performance and driving experience.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Extra is Mobil\u2019s regular grade gasoline. Supreme Plus is its premium grade gasoline and contains the highest octane rating product on the island.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor both of these grades we made further improvements,\u201d Hau said. \u201cThese new fuels have increased additives that helps boost fuel economy, clean engines and improves the performance and responsiveness of your drive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mobil also introduced a new look for all Mobil stations on island, maximizing the use of Mobil\u2019s trademark colors\u2014blue and red. <\/p>\n<p>Similar launches were made in Singapore, Thailand, New Zealand and, early this year, in Guam.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are always looking for better ways to serve our customers and these changes were enhanced to improve customer\u2019s fuel experience,\u201d Hau said. \u201cThe stations are now cleaner, brighter, and have a more welcoming look to give customers a better refueling experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bruce Sutherland, ExxonMobil executive director for fuels in Indonesia and the Pacific Islands, said the launch of the Synergy program is a show of commitment and dedication to the Saipan community.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out that Mobil has worked hard to put terminals and stations back to normal operations after typhoons. \u201cWe believe that we are making a positive impact into the community that we operate in. For example, Mobil made $20,000 contribution to the American Red Cross in 2015 to support recovery efforts after Typhoon Soudelor and similar donations were made in kind, providing fuel in 2018 during [Super] Typhoon Yutu recovery efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lt. Gov. Arnold I. Palacios, who was present at the launch, said, \u201cA lot of us grew up with Mobil. \u2026This has been my gas station as I grew up not too far from here.
