{"id":308257,"date":"2019-09-18T06:06:02","date_gmt":"2019-09-17T20:06:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=308257"},"modified":"2019-09-18T06:06:02","modified_gmt":"2019-09-17T20:06:02","slug":"kimo-rosario-is-acting-pss-finance-chief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/kimo-rosario-is-acting-pss-finance-chief\/","title":{"rendered":"Kimo Rosario is acting PSS finance chief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CNMI Public School System has named its chief procurement officer, Kimo Rosario, as the acting director of finance in place of Christopher Ching, who stepped down last Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Education Commissioner Glenn Mu\u00f1a confirmed that Rosario will be taking over Ching\u2019s post temporarily, as PSS searches for a replacement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are still on the search for a director of finance and Kimo Rosario will act as a temporary replacement for Christopher Ching,\u201d Mu\u00f1a said. <\/p>\n<p>Rosario thanked Mu\u00f1a for the appointment and hopes to be able to meet the job\u2019s requirements while PSS looks for a new finance chief.  <\/p>\n<p>Saipan Tribune learned from a source that Ching sent his letter of resignation to PSS leaders last week and served his final day last Thursday. Ching, who has been with PSS since 2017, said in an interview that he left PSS as he intends to obtain a second master\u2019s degree in the U.S. mainland.
