{"id":308395,"date":"2019-09-20T06:00:18","date_gmt":"2019-09-19T20:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=308395"},"modified":"2019-09-20T06:00:18","modified_gmt":"2019-09-19T20:00:18","slug":"suspected-ice-trafficker-arrested-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/suspected-ice-trafficker-arrested-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspected \u2018ice\u2019 trafficker arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CNMI Drug Enforcement Task Force officers arrested anew last Wednesday a woman who allegedly sold methamphetamine or \u201cice\u201d at her house near the Chalan Kanoa cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>DETF agents arrested again Xyleene Dela Rosa Palacios, 33, for allegedly not cooperating with law enforcement in ongoing investigations, in violation of their agreement.<\/p>\n<p>At her initial appearance in court yesterday, Superior Court Associate Judge Wesley Bogdan imposed a $100,000 cash bail on Palacios.<\/p>\n<p>Preliminary hearing will be on Sept. 26.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant public defender Jean Pierre Nogues was appointed as her counsel. Assistant attorney general Chester Hinds appeared for the government.<\/p>\n<p>DETF officer Maridel T. Camacho stated in court documents that they first arrested Palacios last March 15 for trafficking methamphetamine. He said that a cooperating source twice bought \u201cice\u201d from Palacios at her home in December 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Upon being arrested, Palacios allegedly agreed to become a confidential informant in exchange for her release without cash bail.
