The United Filipino Organization is launching its search for the \u201cPinoy Super Mom 2014\u201d contest in celebration of the 116th Philippine Independence Day on June 14 at the Garapan Fishing Base.<\/span>
\nUFO president Annamae Adaza said the competition will give recognition to all mothers who work hard for their family as well as honor women of power, women who are outspoken, can express themselves, and are career-oriented.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to give recognition to hard-working mothers and give the CNMI community a different kind of entertainment,\u201d said Adaza. \u201cIt\u2019s about time to show the CNMI that mothers can create a great show as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

UFO is only looking for 15 contestants on a first come, first serve basis, \u201cso you don\u2019t have to wait for the deadline,\u201d Adaza said.<\/p>\n

The Pinoy Super Mom 2014 is open to women between the age of 25 and 50 years old.<\/p>\n

Prizes will be $800 for first place, $500 for second, and $300 for third. Along with the Top 3 places, the competition will also have eight special awards, winners of whom will also receive cash prizes as well.<\/p>\n

Contestants will be judged based on four criteria: professional costume, talent competition, evening gown competition, and a question-and-answer portion.<\/p>\n

Those interested can get application forms at Saipan Music & Dance Studio in Garapan. Deadline for submission of applications will be on April 30, 2014.<\/p>\n

The UFO is well known for hosting a variety of competitions. Past events that were successfully organized by UFO include the Miss Pusong Pinoy 2013, Super Pinoy Gay Models in June 2013, That\u2019s My Tomboy in December 2013, and the recent Little Miss Pusong Pinoy beauty pageant in February 2014.<\/p>\n
