Superior Court Associate Judge Teresa Kim-Tenorio ordered police detective Therese S. Kintoki yesterday to provide the Office of the Attorney General with documents relating to the case against Nestor C. Taitano, a habitual offender who was recently arrested for allegedly throwing rocks at a store in Dandan and threatening to kill everyone, including federal court Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona.<\/span>
\nKim-Tenorio gave Kintoki, the lead investigator in the case, to hand over the documents to the OAG no later than noon yesterday.<\/p>\n

The judge issued the order at the request of assistant attorney general Chemere McField.<\/p>\n

At yesterday\u2019s supposed preliminary hearing for Taitano, McField asked the court to issue an order directing Kintoki to explain why she should not be held in contempt for not turning over the documents to the OAG. She also asked the court to reset the preliminary hearing.<\/p>\n

Assistant public defender Matthew Meyer did not object to McField\u2019s requests.<\/p>\n

Kim-Tenorio reset the preliminary hearing to today, Thursday, at 1:30pm.<\/p>\n

Last March 17, the Superior Court\u2019s clerk of court issued a subpoena at the OAG\u2019s request, ordering Kintoki to bring her case file on Taitano last March 21, three days before yesterday\u2019s scheduled preliminary hearing.<\/p>\n

It was not clear why the detective failed to submit the documents to the OAG.<\/p>\n

Police responded to Jin Li Store in Dandan on March 14 after receiving a report that a man, later identified as Taitano, threw rocks at the main entrance and entered the store. The suspect then threw more rocks at a cashier and her two co-workers. The victims were not hit but some items were shattered.<\/p>\n

Police learned that Taitano threatened to kill his mother, some family members, and everyone else. He also allegedly made a threat to kill Judge Manglona.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
