{"id":308977,"date":"2019-09-30T06:06:41","date_gmt":"2019-09-29T20:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=308977"},"modified":"2019-09-30T06:06:41","modified_gmt":"2019-09-29T20:06:41","slug":"triple-j-truckload-store-gears-up-for-black-friday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/triple-j-truckload-store-gears-up-for-black-friday\/","title":{"rendered":"Triple J Truckload Store gears up for Black Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The annual Black Weekend Sale coming up this Thanksgiving weekend promises yet to be another exciting event at the Triple J Truckload Store with sensational items crammed into the shelves of the store and meeting the community\u2019s exact needs.<\/p>\n<p>The store\u2019s general manager, Jay Santos, said there will be specials on big and small appliances, electronics, household items and d\u00e9cor and toys\u2014all coupled with a great price.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo getting items for yourself, home, or the family are always guaranteed affordable. We take great pride in having the best prices on island with all the products that we offer in the store,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>With Christmas just around the corner, the Triple J Truckload Store will be flooded with even more items.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026We want to offer diversity within our inventory. That is why many times customers who walk in without a shopping cart with the intent to to look around and end up finding things and leaving with a cart full of items,\u201d Santos added.<\/p>\n<p>In April this year, Triple J Truckload Store extended its operating days from four days a week to five days\u2014 Wednesday to Sunday\u2014in response to customer demand.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s helpful the Truckload Store team is a tight and close-knit group with a structured communication system in place to ensure items are received; checked-in and shelved immediately, said Triple J marketing manager MariaValentina Haberman.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cWe run a tight ship and wee we commend their consistent efforts.,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>An affiliate of Triple J Saipan, Inc., the Triple J Truckload Store came about in response to a need. Triple J did, in fact,  operated a supermarket called \u201cSuper Fresh Market\u201d in 2010 but, with the CNMI economy at an extremely low point, the company closed the supermarket and focused on the other aspect of its business- home d\u00e9cor, appliance, and furniture needs.. <\/p>\n<p>But that doesn\u2019t mean the passion died with the business. Santos said that Triple J Enterprises, Inc. CEO &amp; Chairman of the Board Robert H.  Jones\u2019 passion to set up a Payless store on Saipan has never flagged, which is why a Triple J Payless SuperFresh &amp; Truckload Store is currently underway slated to open end of October 2019. <\/p>\n<p>The ongoing construction currently beside the KFC restaurant in Chalan Kanoa is the future site of both Triple J Payless SuperFresh &amp; Truckload Store. \u201cThis time, we are a lot more optimistic that the venture will be successful,\u201d said Santos.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan Carrico, the general manager for Triple J\u2019s Payless SuperFresh, said the goal is to have a grocery store that will have a strong organic produce section, meat and poultry, cheeses, a butchery and a deli. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to offer diversity with the products that we will carry and have the cheapest price in town on the things that we possibly can. We also want to be consistent with having a full and fresh produce department, which is vitally important on this island.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He should know, having many years of grocery background working at Trader Joes in different parts of the U.S. mainland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe other thing that we are trying to bring is a different type of market compared to the competitor stores. \u2026We want to highlight the butcher and deli departments that will be in full service, which no one has here. We are going to produce food out of our kitchen thatwill be a balance of local food items and a variety of culinary items from Asian to Mexican food,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>With a deli, Triple J Payless SuperFresh &amp; Truckload Store aim to introduce CNMI consumers to the concept of grab-and-go convenience, where customers swing by, pick and choose what they want, pay for it and go about their day. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are going to be on top of our game when it comes to our products, keeping the store clean and looking fresh.
