United currently operates a daily morning flight (UA150/151) aboard a Boeing 737 aircraft.

United will add three late afternoon flights each week out of Guam on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays through March 2020, the island’s peak winter travel season. The flight will depart Guam at 4:50pm and arrive at Osaka at 7:50pm, allowing travelers the opportunity to stay an extra day on island. The Osaka to Guam segment will leave Osaka at 8:45pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and arrive in Guam at 1:20am on the following day.

The additional three flights will add more than 370 seats weekly each way or more than 6,400 seats during the period. Tickets are now available for purchase.

The addition of the three times-weekly Guam-Osaka flights comes at the heels of United’s recent announcement of three additional flights weekly between Guam and Nagoya, expanding the frequency to twice daily through the winter peak season.

“It is always a pleasure for Guam’s Hometown Airline to make announcements about capacity increases for Guam,” said Sam Shinohara, United’s managing director for Airport Operations for the Asia/Pacific. “We are committed to working closely with industry partners in Guam and Japan to build demand for travel and increase seat capacity between the two markets. The more flights we offer between Guam and Japan benefits travelers throughout our network, who need convenient connections to Asia or the U.S. mainland.”

The increase in demand for travel from Japan to Guam has also prompted United to reintroduce the Boeing 777-200 aircraft on two of its three daily flights between Guam and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport from Aug. 1, 2019 though Mar. 30, 2020. The reintroduction of the B777s during this period will offer customers nearly 900 daily seats daily each way between Tokyo and Guam.

“United continues to monitor the market and quickly adjusts capacity as needed. What does not change is our commitment to growing the markets and economies we serve,” Shinohara added. (PR)

GUAM—United Airlines announced that effective Dec. 10, 2019, United will increase its service to 10…

[11
51
post-309272","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business","tag-guam
["GET
