{"id":309348,"date":"2019-10-04T06:00:24","date_gmt":"2019-10-03T20:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=309348"},"modified":"2019-10-04T06:00:24","modified_gmt":"2019-10-03T20:00:24","slug":"eoc-reports-2-earthquakes-in-the-cnmi-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/eoc-reports-2-earthquakes-in-the-cnmi-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"EOC reports 2 earthquakes in the CNMI this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CNMI Homeland Security &amp; Emergency Management\u2019s Emergency Operations Center reported two earthquakes that occurred in the CNMI this week, the first being at 4.9-magnitude earthquake centered at 254 kilometers northwest of Farallon de Pajaros last Tuesday and the second a 4-magnitude earthquake located 132 kilometers northeast of Agrihan yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>EOC reports that the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issue any tsunami warnings or advisories. <\/p>\n<p>Last Monday, an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.6 occurred off the coast of central Chile, and the National Weather Service\u2019s Pacific Tsunami Warning Center also reported no tsunami threat to the CNMI or Guam. <\/p>\n<p>For more information, contact the CNMI EOC State Warning Point at (670) 237-8000.
