Elijah E. Cummings, of Maryland, President Donald J. Trump ordered that\u00a0the flag of the United States be flown at\u00a0half-staff at all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the federal government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United\u00a0States and its territories and possessions\u00a0until sunset, Oct. 18, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>In compliance with this, acting governor Arnold I. Palacios also ordered that\u00a0the flag of the Commonwealth be flown at half-staff for the same period of time\u00a0until sunset, Oct. 18, 2019.
