The golf tournament is considered the library\u2019s biggest fundraiser.<\/p>\n<p>Last Friday, Pacifica Insurance Underwriters, Inc., a hole-in-one sponsor for the fourth annual golf tournament fundraiser, donated $5,000 to the library.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of the technical staff and management of the public library, we thank Pacifica Insurance Underwriters, Inc. for their commitment to literacy,\u201d Demapan said.<\/p>\n<p>Pacifica Insurance president and chief operations officer Shirley Ann T. Sablan said the company believes in JKPL and its mission.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe support the fundraiser golf tournament because we believe in JKPL and what it stands for. Keep reading, CNMI,\u201d Sablan said.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of many partnerships the JKPL has with the insurance company in promoting literacy in the CMMI. For the hole-in-one sponsorship, the company is giving the lucky winner a $5,000 cash prize.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope that that entices more golfers to come and participate, and join in the golf tournament,\u201d Demapan said. \u201cWe hope everybody could come out and play. It is going to be a fun time to experience the last and the biggest tournament of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from the 4th Annual Friends of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library go to support the resource and collection development, circulation materials, and the free programs and services the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library, the Bookmobile, the Tinian Public Library, and the Antonio C.
