Kanoa Football Club kept the top spot, while MP United Football Club moved to second after downing their respective opponents in the boys U15 division of the 2019 NMIFA Fall Youth League last Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.<\/p>\n

Kanoa outclassed TanHoldings in the first match in the division, 5-3, to remain undefeated in five games and one win ahead of its victim and MP United, which prevailed over Matansa, 4-1, in the other duel in the group.<\/p>\n

MP United managed to top Matansa despite failing to score in the first half that ended with the latter clinging to a 1-0 lead off Alex Megino\u2019s shot in the 16th minute. Matansa kept the shaky lead for a long while until MP United\u2019s surge in a seven-minute stretch late in the game.<\/p>\n

Andrew Chung started MP United\u2019s string of goals with his first in the 61st minute, while he delivered his second five minutes later. Jeremiaz Diaz also had a pair after scoring in the 64th and 68th minute.<\/p>\n

In the other U15 match, Kanoa\u2019s Brian Lubao won his one-on-one showdown against TanHoldings\u2019 Kohtaro Goto, as the former registered all five goals for the winning squad. Goto had three goals for TanHoldings, which dropped from second to third place in the team standings with three games left in the competition.<\/p>\n

GIRLS U16
\nKanoa 8, Matansa 1<\/strong>
\nKanoa retained the lead in the division following an easy win over Matansa.<\/p>\n

Lynzey Green made a hat trick to give Kanoa its sixth victory in seven games. She scored all her goals in the first half\u2014fifth, seventh, and 11th minute\u2014for Kanoa\u2019s 5-1 halftime lead. Donna Kapileo and Desiree Decena tallied Kanoa\u2019s two other goals in the first half and the former added one more in the second, while Sophia Quintos and Paulyn Joyce also hit the board in the final 35 minutes of the one-sided game.<\/p>\n

Matansa\u2019s lone goal came from Jannah Casarino in the 15th minute.<\/p>\n

TanHoldings 6, MP United 0<\/strong>
\nTanHoldings is at close second behind Kanoa after shutting down MP United and getting its fifth victory.<\/p>\n

Stephanie Flores registered three goals for TanHoldings, while Mary Joy Aniana, Rizza Relucio, and Jenny Ann Capayas contributed one apiece.<\/p>\n

Southern United 9, Shirley\u2019s 3<\/strong>
\nSouthern completed a day of lopsided games in the division after dominating Shirley\u2019s in the final game last weekend.<\/p>\n

Keisha Deleon Guerrero and Summer Manahane posted two goals apiece for Southern, which drew one each from Erin Frink, Nathanette Blas, Marinel Falalimpa, Mariana Castro, and Christina Atalig.<\/p>\n

Shirley\u2019s, on the other hand, got a brace from Katrina Costales and one from Lilian Podziewski.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
