Customer Appreciation Basketball League last Saturday at the Gillette Multipurpose Gymnasium.<\/p>\n<p>McDonald\u2019s was in control of the match from start to finish, building up on its lead as the game progressed before delivering the killer blows in the fourth quarter by scoring 30 points.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Mettao and Joseph Achas closed out for McDonald\u2019s with the former making all his 10 points in the fourth period and the latter drilling 8 of his 15 markers.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the first three quarters, Jaymark De Guzman and Jun Fidelino worked together to give McDonald\u2019s a good lead at the break.<\/p>\n<p>De Guzman finished the first half with 14 points, while Fidelino had 13, turning McDonald\u2019s\u2019 20-13 advantage to a double-digit margin, 41-31.<\/p>\n<p>Despite falling behind by double figures at halftime, Joeten 2 was still very much in the game, thanks to J.P. Cruz, who ended the first half with 21 points. He had 14 in the second quarter alone, 12 of them came from the 3-point area.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz continued to hit his shots when the game resumed, however, he failed to get help from his teammates. McDonald\u2019s, on the other hand, had De Guzman and Fidelino contributing 9 points each and brothers Mike and McLain Achas combining for 10 markers to stretch the team\u2019s lead to 17, 69-52, going into the final quarter.<\/p>\n<p>McDonald\u2019s kept going in the fourth period with a new set of players stepping up to secure the 26-point winning margin<\/p>\n<p>Fidelino paced McDonald\u2019s with his 23 points, while De Guzman added 22.
