(PR)<\/p>\n<p>Military training in outer Apra Harbor, Radio Barrigada<\/p>\n<p>SANTA RITA, Guam\u2014Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 will conduct training on Nov. 12, from 6pm to 9pm at Radio Barrigada.<br \/>\nThis training supports aircrew combat readiness and is critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.<br \/>\nU.S. Naval Base Guam Security Forces will conduct training on Nov. 12, from 7am to 3pm in outer Apra Harbor.<br \/>\nIt is recommended the public, fishermen, and marine tour operators monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories.<br \/>\nThese types of trainings are designed to enhance the readiness of military personnel. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity associated with the training.<br \/>\nThe 100th Battalion of the 442nd Infantry Regiment will conduct training on Nov. 14-17, from 5am to 11:55pm at Radio Barrigada. (PR)<\/p>\n<p>Essay contest open to high school students<\/p>\n<p>The Saipan College Prep Academy is holding its \u201c1st Annual SCPA Essay Contest\u201d for high school students on the island. The contest is a double competition, with one open only to SCPA students, and the other being open to all high school students in the CNMI. Students need to write a 650-word essay on the topic, \u201cIs Greta Thunberg right?\u201d and submit it to Keith Tessen or Wanja Choi at the SCPA on or before Dec. 15 for SCPA students, and Dec. 30 for the rest. Winners in both contests will each take home $500, second placers $250, and third placers $125. To join simply submit your audition in any video format at the Bridge Capital office from Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. Over $9,000 in prizes will be given away.
