Customer Appreciation Basketball League last Saturday at the Gillette Multipurpose Gymnasium.

TDI battled back from a 42-50 halftime deficit when it regained the lead in the third quarter and then hung on to the driver’s seat in the fourth for the 2-point victory.

Sean Rabasto scored 13 points in the third period to give TDI back the lead, 73-68. TDI fired 31 markers against the 18 of McDonald’s to overhaul its foe’s 8-point advantage at the break. Raymond Velasco added 8, while Darwin Barbo chipped in 6 in the penultimate frame to hand TDI the driver’s seat going into the final canto.

The same trio kept TDI on top, as it combined for 23 of the team’s 25 markers in the fourth frame to withstand McDonald’s rally. McDonald’s fought back behind the 11 points of Jaymark De Guzman, but fell short in the end, as Rabasto delivered TDI’s last 5 points to secure the victory.

Rabasto finished with 26 points, while Velasco top-scored for TDI with his 30. Barbo chipped in 20, while Jerome Reyes added 12.

Meanwhile, in the second game, Joeten 1 outclassed MJD Construction, 77-64.

After a close first quarter that ended with Joeten clinging to a 22-21 points lead, it gained more cushion as the game progressed by getting contributions from multiple players.

Ernest Duenas and Chris Lilles led Joeten 1’s balanced offense after scoring 15 apiece. Vince Teregeyo added 13, while Alex Lauron made 12, and K.J. Kabiriel and Patrick Rotap combined for 15.

While Joeten 1 showed team effort on offense, MJD relied heavily on Freddie Pelisamen, who led all scorers with his 31 markers.

First Game
TDI 98—Velasco 30, Rabasto 26, Barbo 20, Reyes 12, Polisco 8, Arreza 2.
McDonald’s 96—De Guzman 35, Mc.
