{"id":312152,"date":"2019-11-15T06:06:28","date_gmt":"2019-11-14T20:06:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=312152"},"modified":"2019-11-15T06:06:28","modified_gmt":"2019-11-14T20:06:28","slug":"presentation-lineup-for-saipan-conservation-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/presentation-lineup-for-saipan-conservation-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Presentation lineup for Saipan conservation conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Learn more from the 29 researchers and agency professionals who will be sharing conservation insights and science results at the 3rd Annual Marianas Terrestrial Conservation Conference &amp; Workshop next week, Nov. 18-20, at the Fiesta Resort &amp; Spa Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>CNMI Division of Fish and Wildlife\u2019s Dr. Joshua Guilbert will be speaking about the path to de-listing of the Mariana fruit bat or fanihi and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration\u2019s Robbie Greene will talk about the natural resource conditions and needs of the American Memorial Park. <\/p>\n<p>Multiple presenters will also be discussing different aspects of the impact of the invasive brown tree snake in Guam, and the potential for snake control and ecological restoration.<\/p>\n<p>All presentations will be at the Fiesta Resort\u2019s Hibiscus Hall from 8am to 5pm on Tuesday, Nov. 19.<\/p>\n<p>The public is also invited to participate in field trips such as canoe rides and a guided forest hike.
