The CNMI Census Office advised the public yesterday to report people who claim to be field employees of the Census.<\/p>\n
CNMI Census 2020 manager Claudio Norita told Saipan Tribune that his office received news of individuals posing as census employees and asking for personal information.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe CNMI 2020 Census does not have any employees doing any field work now. We intend to have our employees in the field by late January 2020,\u201d the memorandum from the CNMI Census office noted.<\/p>\n
According to Norita, his office had been receiving reports of people posing as \u201cCensus employees.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to emphasize to the community that the 2020 CNMI Census has [no] employees out collecting data. We will not be rolling out our enumeration until late January 2020,\u201d he reiterated in a statement to Saipan Tribune.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf people posing as census employees visit you, ask them for their census ID cards and repor[t them to the Census Office at 682-2020,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The memorandum released by his office yesterday further noted that, come January 2020, Census employees would not ask anyone for their social security number; their bank account or credit card numbers; PIN codes, passwords, or access information for credit cards, banks, or other financial accounts; money or donations; or contact anyone on behalf of a political party.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
