All vessels are advised to remain clear of a three nautical mile radius of these coordinates. It is recommended the public, fishermen, and marine tour operators monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories. <strong>(PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Holiday closures at AMP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The American Memorial Park Visitor Center will be closed on the following dates:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Dec. 25, 2019, Christmas Day<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Jan. 1, 2020, New Year\u2019s Day<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the park will remain open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>With the exception of the holidays, the Visitor Center is open every day from 9am to 4pm.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, contact lead park ranger Brooke Nevitt at 234-7207 or 2020 or via email\u00a0brooke_nevitt@nps.gov. <strong>(NPS)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Military trainings set<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ASAN, Guam<\/strong>\u2014The U.S. Navy will conduct training at the Dandan training site in Inarajan on Dec. 3-5, from 11am to 11:55pm.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Navy will also conduct training at Radio Barrigada during the following dates and times:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Dec. 3, from 10am to 9pm and 6pm to 11:55pm<br \/>\n&#8211; Dec. 4, from 11am to 5pm and 6pm to 11:55pm<br \/>\n&#8211; Dec. 5, from 6pm to 11:55pm<\/p>\n<p>These types of trainings are designed to enhance the readiness of military personnel. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity associated with the training. Routine helicopter training often accompanied with the use of blanks can occur during these trainings.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Navy will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla today, Dec. 3, from 6am to 4pm.<\/p>\n<p>Training will be conducted within a 12-nautical mile radius of Farallon de Medinilla. For the duration of the exercise the public, fishermen, and marine tour operators are advised to remain clear of these areas and monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Navy will conduct open-ocean exercises on Dec. 5, from 3pm to 6pm within a 10-nautical-mile radius of the following coordinates: 13\u02da26\u2019\u2019N\/145\u02da08\u2019\u2019E and 13\u02da42\u2019\u2019N\/144\u02da36\u2019\u2019E.<\/p>\n<p>All vessels are advised to remain clear of a 3-nautical mile radius of these coordinates.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Navy will also conduct training at SHARK SW today, Dec. 3, from 8am to 4pm at the following coordinates:<\/p>\n<p>13\u02da24\u201945\u2019\u2019N\/144\u02da25\u201910\u2019\u2019E, 13\u02da10\u201950\u2019\u2019N\/144\u02da25\u201903\u2019\u2019E, 13\u02da11\u201950\u2019\u2019N\/144\u02da35\u201905\u2019\u2019E, 13\u02da17\u201946\u2019\u2019N\/144\u02da35\u201922\u2019\u2019E, 13\u02da24\u201913\u2019\u2019N\/144\u02da34\u201946\u2019\u2019E, 13\u02da24\u201949\u2019\u2019N\/144\u02da25\u201910\u2019\u2019E.<\/p>\n<p>All vessels are advised to remain clear of a 3-nautical mile radius of these coordinates.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, Japan Air Self-Defense Force, Royal Australian Air Force, and Royal New Zealand Air Force will conduct training for Operation Christmas Drop on Dec. 5-6 off Orote Point at coordinates 13\u02da25\u2019\u2019N\/148\u02da38\u2019\u2019E.<\/p>\n<p>It is recommended the public, fishermen, and marine tour operators monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories.<strong>(PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CHamoru commission meeting set<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Kumisi\u00f3n i Fino\u2019 CHamoru yan i Fina\u2019n\u00e5\u2019guen i Historia yan i Lina\u2019la\u2019 i\u00a0Taotao T\u00e5no\u2019\u00a0(Commission on CHamoru Language and the Teaching of the History and Culture of the Indigenous People of Guam) will hold its first December monthly meeting on Dec. 5, 2019, Thursday from 12:30pm to 3pm at the Guam Museum conference room, H\u00e5gat\u00f1a. Biometrics and personal data capturing for ePassport applications will be according to the attended schedule. Those who are on the list of ePassport applicants must show up at the venue on the date and time indicated in the schedule in proper attire (i.e. with collar and sleeves).
