Camacho withdrew Friday the fugitive arrest warrant issued against a Chinese national wanted in Las Vegas, Nevada since 2013 for theft and fraud related to casino gambling debt.<\/p>\n<p>This means the criminal case against 56-year-old Da Gong Jiang is being withdrawn.<\/p>\n<p>CNMI chief prosecutor John Bradley, however, said that Jiang may still be held in custody since he also has a pending hold by federal immigration authorities. Bradley said any decision about this is up to federal authorities. <\/p>\n<p>In the CNMI\u2019s motion to withdraw filed Friday, Bradley disclosed that after communicating with the Clark County, Nevada, District Attorney\u2019s Office-Bad Check Unit, the Commonwealth learned that Jiang has posted the cash bail required in that jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p>Bradley said the Clark County District Attorney\u2019s Office has asked the Commonwealth to dismiss the fugitive arrest warrant.<\/p>\n<p>In a fax message to Bradley dated Dec. 5, 2019, Frances Gomez of the Clark County District Attorney\u2019s Office reportedly informed Bradley that their office will not extradite Jiang back to Nevada.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease release our fugitive hold, per chief deputy DA Jeffrey S. Rogan, full cash bail has been posted in our jurisdiction,\u201d Gomez said.<\/p>\n<p>Bruce Berline appeared as private counsel for Jiang.<\/p>\n<p>According to court documents, Jiang arrived last Nov. 14 at the Francisco C.
