Homeless prevention coalition meeting<\/strong>
\nThe CNMI Homeless Prevention Coalition will be having its general membership meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, starting at 10am, at the Division of Youth Services conference room in Chalan Piao (next to the Bank of Guam). Kagman schools set PTSA meeting today<\/strong>
\nThe Kagman Unified Schools will be having a Parents Teachers Students Association meeting today, Dec. 10, 2019, at 5:30pm in the Chacha Ocean View Middle School cafeteria. Child care will be provided. Call the any of the three schools at 237-3150 (KAGE), 237-3165 (COVMS), or 237-3196 (KHS) if you have any questions or concerns. (PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

US military trainings<\/strong>
\nASAN, Guam<\/strong>\u2014The U.S. Navy will conduct helicopter training in Dandan-Malojloj from 11am to 11:55pm on Dec. 10, 11, and 12.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The U.S. Navy will also conduct search and rescue training in Outer Apra Harbor from 11am to 11:55pm today, Dec. 10.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The public and marine operators are advised to remain alert of military personnel who will be swimming in the water as part of the training event.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Naval special warfare units will conduct anti-terrorism training in Radio Barrigada from 11am to 5pm on Dec. 11.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Training ammunition will be used during this training. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity associated with the trainings.<\/p>\n

Helicopter Sea-Combat Squadron 25 will conduct embassy reinforcement training in Radio Barrigada from 6pm to 11pm on Dec. 11.\u00a0<\/p>\n

During these trainings, blanks will be used. Residents in surrounding areas again should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity associated with the trainings.<\/p>\n

The U.S. Coast Guard will conduct live fire training in open ocean from 9:30am to 11am on Dec. 11.<\/p>\n

All vessels are advised to keep clear of a five nautical mile radius of these coordinates: 13\u02da29\u201dN\/144\u02da25\u201dE.\u00a0<\/p>\n

These types of trainings are designed to enhance the readiness of military personnel. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity associated with the training.<\/p>\n

It is recommended the public, fishermen, and marine tour operators monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories. (PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Free Guam workshops<\/strong>
\nThe Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center is offering free\u00a0workshops to the public this\u00a0December that will teach participants how to market and sell your products\/services to the federal government.<\/p>\n

Workshops run from\u00a09am to 10am\u00a0at the University of Guam in the\u00a0Jesus and Eugenia Leon Guerrero Business and Public Admin Building,\u00a0Margarita Perez & Jaime Tuquero IT&E Lecture Hall,\u00a0Room 131(unless otherwise specified):<\/p>\n

Dec. 12: Responding to Requests for Proposals\u2014The Guam PTAC will walk participants through the common sections and clauses of an RFP as well as provide tips on developing a proposal in response to an RFP.<\/p>\n

Dec. 19:\u00a0Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment\u2014Do you have a DOD contract and need to get paid? The Guam PTAC will explain DOD invoicing procedures using the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment system, formerly known as WAWF.<\/p>\n

For Project Management Professionals, Guam PTAC workshops may count toward your annual Professional Development Unit goals.<\/p>\n
