Based on police records, Friday\u2019s fatal shooting in San Antonio is the fifth double homicide on Saipan since 1995, all of them involving Chinese nationals. All cases remain unsolved so far. <\/p>\n
Although one of last week\u2019s victim, Li Na Lim, is a Korean national, the second victim, Linhua Cui, is of Chinese-Korean descent, Saipan Tribune learned.<\/p>\n
When asked for comments about the unsolved double homicides, Department of Public Safety spokesman Adrian Pangelinan said yesterday that cold cases do not have a statute of limitation.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo if there is a new lead or new information on the case, DPS re-opens the case,\u201d Pangelinan said.<\/p>\n
Lim, 43, and Cui, 53, were found dead inside the Rice Cake Best Food Restaurant Friday morning after they were reportedly shot by still unidentified person\/s. Police said the victims\u2019 shoulder bags could not be found at the crime scene.<\/p>\n
DPS did not release yesterday new information about the recent killing.<\/p>\n
Police records show that the bodies of Guo Huang Xu and his wife, Qing Xiu Zheng, were found burned in their As Gonno house that was razed to the ground by fire last Feb. 23, 2014.<\/p>\n
Nine months later, on Nov. 2, 2014, two Chinese male farmers\u2014Hai Ren Li and Cheng You Li\u2014were found dead, their bodies dumped in a grassy area at the old airport runway in Koblerville.<\/p>\n
On Dec. 8, 2012, couple Jun Li Yang and Jing Liu were shot dead inside their home in San Vicente. <\/p>\n
In March 1995, Zhao Ming Hou and his wife, Yu Hua Huang, who were then-owners of Ming Hua Market in Dandan, were found dead in separate areas in Kagman 3. Prior to the discovery of their bodies, their store was burglarized.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
