Tenorio will take over Timmons as counsel for Department of Public Safety Commissioner Robert Guerrero in connection with inmate Reynaldo A. Manila\u2019s lawsuit against Guerrero and others.<\/p>\n<p>As of press time last night, Saipan Tribune was still awaiting Timmons\u2019 response on why he is leaving the OAG.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_314803\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-314803\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Benjamin-Petersburg-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-314803\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-314803\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Peterburg<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Then-assistant attorney general Benjamin Petersburg also left the OAG\u2019s Civil Division recently to join the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office in Guam.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant attorney general Jose S. P. Mafnas Jr. will replace Petersburg as the counsel for Department of Corrections officials Jose Pangelinan and Georgia Cabrera in Manila\u2019s lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>Petersburg joined the OAG\u2019s Civil Division early this year after partnering with Bruce Berline in 2015.
