TanHoldings Football Club and MP United FC reached the championship game in both the co-ed U12 and boys U15 divisions of the 2019-2020 Holiday Futsal Jam after eliminating their respective playoff foes last Saturday at the TSL Sports Complex.<\/p>\n

MP United took the first finals berth in the co-ed U12 age group after nosing out Shirley\u2019s FC, 4-3, while TanHoldings advanced following an 8-6 triumph over Kanoa in the other semis duel. TanHoldings and MP United disputed the division title last night and results of the finale were unavailable at press time.<\/p>\n

Ian Song powered MP United to a finals stint in the short tournament after drilling three goals in their semis showdown against Shirley\u2019s. He made back-to-back goals in the first half, scoring in the seventh and 12th minute, while Miles Linden lit up the board in the 19th to hand MP United a 3-1 halftime lead. Benetton Haro posted the lone goal (fifth minute) for Shirley\u2019s in the first half.<\/p>\n

An own goal right in the opening minute of the second half moved Shirley\u2019s within one, but Song came to MP United\u2019s rescue with his insurance and hat trick in the 34th minute.<\/p>\n

In the other semis game, Mark Costales also registered three goals, while Kaithlyn Chavez contributed two to help TanHoldings beat Kanoa.<\/p>\n

Sernante Jimenez, Monico Claridades, and Julie Chavez chipped in one goal apiece for TanHoldings. Rooney Gil had three goals to lead Kanoa\u2019s losing cause, while Paul Lizama delivered two, and the squad was awarded an own goal in the second half. Kanoa faced Shirley\u2019s in the battle for third place yesterday.<\/p>\n

BOYS U15 DIVISION
\nTanHoldings 6, Kanoa-2 4<\/strong>
\nTanHoldings also barged into the finals of the boys U15 division contest after ousting Kanoa-2.<\/p>\n

Kohtaro Goto starred in the semis win, as he nailed four goals, scoring in the 17th, 26th, 30th, and 33rd minute. R.J. Narvaez posted the two other goals for TanHoldings, as he drew first blood for the team in the fifth minute and earned his second in the 27th.<\/p>\n

Sean Gil paced Kanoa-2 with his hat trick, while John Mark Anastacio tallied the other goal for the squad.<\/p>\n

MP United 5, Kanoa-1 4<\/strong>
\nMP United 5 marched into the title game in the division after outlasting Kanoa-1 in the penalty shootout.<\/p>\n

Jeremiah Diaz, Richard Castro, Dane Hodges, Dylan Mister, and Kristoffer Pascual converted their penalty shot to help MP United escape past Kanoa in the game that ended in 1-1 standoff at regulation. Brian Lubao made the equalizer for Kanoa in the 16th minute, three minutes after Mister handed MP United the shaky lead. <\/p>\n

Lubao also scored for Kanoa in the penalty shootout, along with Daniel Mar Pablo, Merrick Toves, and Jaydee Jose.<\/p>\n

GIRLS U16 DIVISION
\nSouthern 6, Shirley\u2019s 1<\/strong>
\nSouthern United eased its way to the finals after dominating Shirley\u2019s FC in the first playoff match in the division.<\/p>\n

Julie Hall and Nathanette Blas contributed two goals each for Southern United, which got an own goal and one from Kaithlyn Chavez. Shirley\u2019s lone goal was courtesy of Katrina Costales.<\/p>\n

Kanoa 7, TanHoldings 3<\/strong>
\nKanoa also cruised to the finals after outclassing TanHoldings in the second semis tiff.<\/p>\n

Three straight goals from Paulynn Joyce sealed the deal for Kanoa, which raced to a 4-0 halftime lead. Khristelle Itaas delivered the other goal for Kanoa in the first half, while Joyce added two more in the second and Sharmaince Francisco closed out for the winning squad.<\/p>\n

Mary Joy Aniana, Rizza Relucio, and Audrey Castro scored the three goals for TanHoldings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
