Serve. Lead. Succeed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mount Carmel School president Galvin Deleon Guerrero is excited about the CSW theme and the weeklong celebration in January. \u201cFor over 65 years, MCS has definitely helped mold students who learn, serve, lead, and succeed throughout their education and beyond.\u201d Referring to the school\u2019s alumni, who are called AlumKnights after the school\u2019s mascot, Deleon Guerrero added, \u201cAt the local, regional, and even national levels, our AlumKnights have embraced this year\u2019s theme as successful leaders who serve their communities in business, government, and non-profits.\u201d\u2028Mount Carmel School has prepared a full week of events that highlight a different aspect of the school each day.\u00a0 On Sunday, Jan. 26, at 9am, the focus will be on \u201cCatholic Schools in our Parishes\u201d as MCS students converge on Mount Carmel Cathedral to kick off CSW 2020 with a Mass. On Monday, the focus shifts to \u201cCelebrating Our Community\u201d as MCS junior high and high school students engage in different activities that support community services. Elementary school students will make banners expressing their appreciation for the school\u2019s many donors and supporters. Tuesday will be dedicated to \u201cCelebrating Our Teachers and Faculty.\u201d\u00a0On that day, MCS will hold an appreciation program for faculty and staff, in which the 2020 Teacher of the Year will be announced.\u00a0\u2028On Wednesday, MCS will celebrate \u201cCatholic Schools in our Vocations\u201d with a Mass, which will be followed by a vocations talk and other activities honoring vocations. MCS will shift its attention on Thursday to the rest of the country with \u201cCatholic Schools in our Nation.\u201d On this day students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 will learn how to fold and raise the American and CNMI flags and participate in various campus activities.\u00a0\u2028Friday morning\u2019s emphasis will be on \u201cCatholic Schools in our Students\u201d with MCS students participating in a roadside waving in the morning, followed by field activities and demonstrations. Friday night will highlight \u201cCatholic Schools in our Families\u201d with the school\u2019s signature CSW event, Family Night.\u00a0 Held on the school grounds beginning at 6pm, Family Night will feature dinner and entertainment to celebrate their role in Catholic education.\u00a0\u2028The school\u2019s celebration of Catholic Schools Week will end with the \u201cNight with the Knights\u201d AlumKnight fundraising banquet on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020. \u00a0\u201cA Night with the Knights\u201d will feature a music video montage of the school\u2019s history, raffle prizes, and entertainment. The event will also include the announcement of the 2020 AlumKnight of the Year and Class of the Year.\u00a0 Tickets for the Night with the Knights are $50 each and can be purchased at the school\u2019s Business Office.
