Bautista)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Marianas High School Varsity wrapped up the regular season of the 2019-2020 Public School System Interscholastic Girls High School Basketball League with a perfect record.<\/p>\n<p>The Lady Dolphins won their last two games to finish the prelims with a 12-0 record and get the No. 1 seed in the double-elimination playoff round that will start today and run until tomorrow at the MHS Gymnasium.<\/p>\n<p>The unbeaten squad eked out a 22-20 victory over Saipan Southern High School last Tuesday and then routed Mt. Carmel School, 35-13, in a make-up game on the same day to keep its record clean going into this weekend\u2019s playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>Saipan Southern finished second in the team standings in the preliminary round, as it battled back from the loss to MHS Varsity with a 29-13 triumph over Mt. Carmel. The Lady Manta Rays earned a 9-3 record, while Mt. Carmel was ranked No. 6 with its 5-7 slate after losing its last two matches.<\/p>\n<p>MHS Junior Varsity came in at No. 5 after getting a 7-5 slate and winning its final two matches last Tuesday. MHS JV\u2019s pair of victories was against Kagman High School with the Lady Dolphins pulling off a 16-13 win in their first meeting before cruising to a 14-4 triumph in the second.<\/p>\n<p>Kagman was winless in the preliminary round and will face MHS Varsity in the first round of the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>Agape Christian School, Grace Christian Academy, and Tinian High School are also competing in the playoff round and got the No. 3, 7, and 4 seed, respectively. Tinian did not join the preliminary games and automatically took the No. 4 seed in the playoffs where it will first face MHS JV.<\/p>\n<p>Agape posted a 7-5 mark in the prelims after pulling off a 15-13 win over GCA dropped to a 2-10 mark.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, two other first round matches will be played today with Agape battling Mt.
