There will be a scheduled power interruption on Friday, Jan. 24, from 3:30pm to 6:30pm, affecting Lower Base.<\/p>\n
This sectionalized feeder outage on the Feeder 2 distribution circuit will affect Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers from Industrial Drive in Lower Base to the Smiling Cove Marina. No water well will be affected but the S-3 wastewater lift station will be affected.<\/p>\n
The purpose of the scheduled power interruption is to de-energize utility lines such that CUC linemen are able to safely conduct maintenance of the power distribution system and construct a new overhead power distribution line. The new power distribution line will serve as a power delivery point from the impending Aggreko power station to the CUC electric power grid. <\/p>\n
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the working area. <\/p>\n
There will also be a scheduled water service interruption on Friday, Jan. 24, from 8am to 5pm for customers in the areas of San Vicente, Dandan, and Obyan areas. <\/p>\n
This is intended for the relocation of water meters and leak repair on Palu Lane in San Vicente as part of the Department of Public Work road construction project. <\/p>\n
For the safety of the men and women at the jobsite, proceed with caution and\/or take alternate routes when travelling by the area. <\/p>\n
