{"id":316197,"date":"2020-01-23T06:00:30","date_gmt":"2020-01-22T20:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=316197"},"modified":"2020-01-23T06:00:30","modified_gmt":"2020-01-22T20:00:30","slug":"manamko-to-take-part-in-softball-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/manamko-to-take-part-in-softball-game\/","title":{"rendered":"Man\u2019amko to take part in softball game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some of the man\u2019amko, along with representatives of the Office of Aging, will trade one morning of their regular bingo games for an exhibition game of softball while it\u2019s still a little breezy out.<\/p>\n<p>According to Office of Aging director Walter Manglona, some of the man\u2019amko and some of the younger staff of the office will have their fun in the sun on Jan. 24 starting at 8am at the softball field on Capital Hill.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt depends on their [man\u2019amko] age and physical limitations; \u2026the rest will be some of the younger, full time staff,\u201d said Manglona. \u201cThis game will be considered as a team building [exercise] and to also help the man\u2019amko stay active.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe work in a pretty stressful environment all day, and just to be able to go out there and exercise and do team-building activities is definitely going to be very helpful,\u201d Manglona added.<\/p>\n<p>One rule that they will have during this small exhibition game is that the man\u2019amko who will be participating should be able to bat but, if it\u2019s too much for them to run, they will have a substitute to run for them. The rest of the man\u2019amko will be able to sit and cheer in the dugout.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe only allow the man\u2019amko to move at their own pace.
