Hocog and Rota Mayor\u2019s Office press secretary Ivan Takamine Mereb Jr. have been confirmed as board members of the Rota Municipal Scholarship Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The Rota Legislative Delegation unanimously confirmed their appointments in a public hearing last Jan. 22, Wed, at the Rota Mayor&#8217;s Office in Songsong.<\/p>\n<p>The two were among the three appointees named by Rota Mayor Efraim M. Atalig in October last year.<\/p>\n<p>The third appointee, retired Rota resident Fidelia M. Mendiola, withdrew. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese new appointees will be replacing board members exiting because of resignation, term limit, and medical reason,\u201d Atalig stated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Rota Municipal Council chair George O.
