The official website for the 2020 Census of Guam launched Tuesday, Jan. 28, with a brief presentation for the media at the Guam Census Office in Tamuning. TAMUNING, Guam\u2014The official website for the 2020 Census of Guam was launched yesterday, Jan. 28, at the Guam Census Office in Tamuning.<\/p>\n

The website will provide information on the upcoming census as well as links to social media, statistics, and downloadable resources provided by the U.S. Census Bureau. <\/p>\n

Census management gave an overview of the website\u2019s features and talked about upcoming data collection activities, as the launch comes just ahead of the Feb. 3 start of Address Listing. During this monthlong operation, 2020 Census of Guam workers will be locating and listing houses, apartments, shelters, and other residences throughout the island.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new website will allow visitors to learn about the work we\u2019re doing here and why it\u2019s so important for Guam,\u201d said Bernadine Gines, manager of the Guam Census Office. \u201cIt outlines what census workers will be doing out in the community, addresses some of the more frequently asked questions we\u2019ve been getting, and will give regular updates on the progress we\u2019re making as we conduct this year\u2019s census.\u201d<\/p>\n

Flame Tree Freedom Center Inc., working for Galaide Group, designed and built the website under the direction of the Guam Census Office.<\/p>\n

The 2020 Census of Guam is the once-in-a-decade population count of our island, providing a snapshot of our growing and diverse community.
