Chao.<br \/>\nThis is to share information and resources, hear feedback from veterans and to answer questions on VA health care and benefits.<br \/>\nThe Veterans Resource Fair on Saipan will take place on Feb. 4, 2020, from 5pm to 6:30pm at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe near the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library.<br \/>\nThe Listening Sessions on Tinian and Rota will be held on the following dates and time:<br \/>\n Tinian: Feb. 5, 2020, from 10am to 12:30 pm at the Tinian Library.<br \/>\n Rota: Feb. 6, 2020, from 10am to 12:30pm at the Mayor of Rota\u2019s conference hall.<br \/>\nAll veterans, their families, survivors and any organization(s) or individual(s) who works with or on behalf of veterans are encouraged to attend.<br \/>\nFor more information, contact Ruth Coleman at 322-0035. (PR)<\/p>\n<p>Saturday writing workshops<\/p>\n<p>The Marianas Writers Movement will have a series of Saturday workshops. Each workshop will be two hours, beginning at 1:30pm in the VTC Room of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library. The workshops, \u201cBeyond the First Draft,\u201d will focus on the editing process. These workshops are open to all over age 13, and are free.<br \/>\nEach workshop is different in content. Here is the tentative schedule for topics:<br \/>\nFeb. 1 Workshop 3: Writing a critique\/editorial report<br \/>\n Feb. 8 Workshop 4: Line editing thoughts<br \/>\n Feb. 15 Workshop 5: Pitching your novel<br \/>\n Feb. 22 Workshop 6: Resources\/Hands-on\/Feedback\/Q&amp;A (PR)<\/p>\n<p>SHRM membership meeting set<\/p>\n<p>The Society for Human Resource Management-NMI Chapter will have a general membership meeting and webinar training on Feb. 7, Friday, at the Charley\u2019s Cabaret of the Pacific Islands Club Saipan. The meeting starts at 9am with the induction of the 2020 NMI SHRM board members.<br \/>\nThe webinar trainer will be Fran Sepler, president of Sepler &amp; Associates, who is known for her pioneering work in harassment prevention and workplace investigations.\u2028Training topics:<br \/>\n 9:30am \u2013 12:30pm: \u201cRespect in the Workplace.\u201d Based on values of respect and fairness, this training focuses on skill building for employees such as: bystander intervention and giving and getting feedback<br \/>\n 1:30pm \u2013 5:3pm: \u201cLeading for Respect.\u201d Learn how to respond appropriately to concerns and complaints made by employees, focusing on the employee\u2019s perceptions of fairness and the supervisor\u2019s responsibility to respond with emotional intelligence\u2028This training includes lunch and costs $50 for SHRM members and $60 for non-SHRM members.
