Black Wood Furniture is celebrating its first year of operations by throwing a one-day anniversary sale tomorrow, Feb.22, at its Koblerville store.<\/p>\n
Store manager Dayoung Chung said every item on the store would be on sale during the one-day only promotion to celebrate Black Wood\u2019s first year anniversary. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur promotion is 10% discount for all items on one day which is tomorrow, Feb.22, from 11am to 6pm.\u201d<\/p>\n
The sales promotion cannot be combined with layaway, gift certificate, and previous purchase. <\/p>\n
Overall, Chung couldn\u2019t be happier that Black Wood has reached this milestone. \u201cOur first year was great. We have lots of return customers. It was not only about selling furniture, but also we have been able to share ideas, opinions, and lifestyles with local customers,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Since Day 1, Black Wood\u2019s runaway bestsellers have been its shelves. \u201cWe have various designs, materials, and colors of shelves so our customers can choose [items] matching their space.\u201d <\/p>\n
Items growing in popularity among the store\u2019s growing customer base are its dining collection. \u201cWe have expandable dining table with mix-match chairs. These are popular for people who want to save space for dinning room for daytime and also want to have big enough table for dinner events or parties,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
When asked what\u2019s been the biggest challenge they faced during their first year, Black Wood\u2019s relative anonymity was cited as a factor. \u201cOur store is kind of in a hidden place, so it was hard to let people know where it is. However, we have communicated to our customers by social media such as Facebook and Instagram so that we could advertise our items and location.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chung added Black Wood being a small business meant it lacked staff, store and warehouse space, and diversity of items. But, at the end of the day, Black Wood is most happy with the relationships they cultivated with customers in the past year.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have met a lot of great customers so far, so it is hard to choose one customer we really love. We sincerely appreciate all our customers, especially those who are interested in our new arrivals and keep visiting.\u201d <\/p>\n
She said customers are Black Wood\u2019s No.1 motivation. \u201cWe are very thankful for our customers\u2019 loyalty. Without our customers\u2019 support and encouragement, our success wouldn\u2019t have been possible. We are looking forward to continuing to serve them in the following years.\u201d<\/p>\n
Right now, Black Wood wants to promote its collection of new cabinets that can have multiple uses. \u201cWe want to introduce our new cabinet. We displayed them as shoe cabinets but it can also be used as a kitchen cabinet, a book cabinet, etc.,\u201d said Chung.<\/p>\n
