The 2014 March Against Cancer Committee is inviting all musicians, bands, dancers, and other entertainers to perform at this year\u2019s Commonwealth Cancer Association signature fundraiser.<\/p>\n
L.J. Castro and Celia Mercado, 2014 MMAC entertainment committee co-chairs, are calling on interested performers to volunteer their time to show their support in the fight against cancer by performing live at the 2014 MMAC.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have limited slots available on a first-come, first-serve basis so please contact us as soon as possible to confirm your spot,\u201d Castro and Mercado said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThousands of participants attend the MMAC every year so this is your chance to show your support in the battle against cancer by performing live for our community,\u201d Castro added.<\/p>\n
The 2014 MMAC will be held from 6pm to 6am on May 2 to 3 at Hopwood Junior High School field in Chalan Piao. <\/p>\n
The Marianas March Against Cancer is the largest anti-cancer fundraising activity in the Northern Mariana Islands and is the signature fundraising event of the Commonwealth Cancer Association, a volunteer-led non-profit 501(c)3 organization that ensures all funds raised are spent entirely in the CNMI on cancer awareness and prevention programs, cancer patient support services and other cancer-related activities.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s MMAC title sponsors are Bank of Guam, Delta Air Lines, DFS Saipan, Ltd., GPPC, Island Apparel, IT &E, Joeten Daidai Foundation, Marianas Variety, Sorensen Media Group, and Take Care\/FHP.
