KagES postpones move to old campus postponed<\/strong>
\nKagman Elementary School has postponed the move to its old campus due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the management’s control at the school level. <\/p>\n

KagES management said the move back to the old campus will have to be postponed until further notice. The original target date of moving back to the old campus was supposed to be on Monday, March 2. <\/p>\n

As of date, KagES will continue to conduct half-day sessions at ChaCha Oceanview Middle School from 7:30am to 11:30am.<\/p>\n

KagES management said they will continue to update stakeholders regarding their power issue, and also be giving them advance notice on when they are ready to move back to their KagES campus. (PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

500 Sails offers free swim classes to women in February and March<\/strong>
\nIn partnership with Commonwealth Women\u2019s Association, 500 Sails is offering free swim classes for women and girls 12 and older through the Sirena Project. Below are the newly announced March dates, including two Fridays, Saturdays this February and March 2020, plus on March 20 and March 27. All classes are from 10am to 11am at Guma Sakman; all levels welcome.Bring a water bottle, swim clothes, a towel, and a friend.<\/p>\n

BECQ to hold another beach cleanup<\/p>\n

The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality\u2019s Cleanup Brigade will be organizing its third cleanup activity this year at Obyan Beach on March 7, 2020.<\/p>\n

Volunteers who would like to come out and help can meet at Obyan Beach from 8am to 10am. Volunteers will be given water, gloves, trash bags, and pickers while supplies last.<\/p>\n

Every month, BECQ\u2019s Cleanup Brigade would choose an area where to pick up trash every first Saturday of the month. (PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

NMHC offers loan deferment assistance<\/strong>
\nDue to the impending austerity measures and the anticipated economic hardships as a result of the decline in the tourism industry as affected by the suspension of visitor arrivals from China and reduced flights from Korea, most, if not all Northern Marianas Housing Corp. clients will somehow be affected.<\/p>\n

Therefore, NMHC will place a blanket deferment assistance of all of its loans for a period of three months, which will begin March 1, 2020, and will end on May 31, 2020. Interest shall not accrue during the three-month period. Beginning June 1, 2020, all loans will be reinstated to their regular monthly payments and an additional three months will be added on to the loan maturity.<\/p>\n

If you do not wish to avail of this assistance, you must provide NMHC an official cancelation notice of the deferment assistance being offered.<\/p>\n

Lane closure for Triple J Color Run<\/strong>
\nTriple J announced that the southbound lane along Beach Road will be closed on Saturday, March 7, from 4am to 8am for the Triple J 5K Saipan Bubble Color Run. The closure is necessary for the runners\u2019 safety. The start point of the lane closure is Garapan Farmer\u2019s Market proceeding south 2.5 kilometers past the Quartermaster intersection to the Blue Beach House Hotel. (PR)<\/p>\n

\u2018Walk for Parents\u2019 tomorrow<\/p>\n

The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs\u2019 Division of Youth Services is inviting the public to a \u201cWalk for Parents\u201d event tomorrow, Feb. 29. Registration for the walk is free and will begin at 6am at the Oleai Beach Pavilion. The route will be from the Oleai Beach Pavilion to Quartermaster Road and back.<\/p>\n

Walk for Parents is a morning walk to recognize and show appreciation for all parents in the CNMI and is the closing event for the CNMI\u2019s Parent Leadership Month.<\/p>\n
