Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Southern United Football Club recovered quickly from a season opening loss after outclassing Kanoa Football Club, 4-2, in their girls U17 game in the 2020 NMIFA Spring Youth League last Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.<\/p>\n<p>Southern United, which dropped its opener against TanHoldings last Feb. 15, broke into the win column after drawing goals from four different players and despite allowing Kanoa to score first in their duel.<\/p>\n<p>Sharmaine Francisco put Kanoa on the board with her goal in the 14th minute, but Tricia Mae Roque knotted the count in the 28th minute. The first half ended in a deadlock, as both teams hung tough on defense.<\/p>\n<p>In the second half, Summer Manahane helped Southern United grab the lead when she found the back of the net in the 40th minute, while a goal from Megan Mae Elayda two minutes later gave their team more cushion, 3-1. Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>BOYS U19 DIVISION<br \/>\nKanoa 1 2, MP United 1<\/strong><br \/>\nKanoa, after settling for a draw against TanHoldings in the season opener, got win No. 1 following a close triumph over MP United last Friday.<br \/>\nDaniel Mar Pablo lifted Kanoa to its first victory after scoring the team\u2019s twin goals. He got his first in the sixth minute and the go-ahead in the 46th.
